'I'm writing my story so that others might see fragments of themselves'

Lena Waithe

When a woman or girl who has experienced the early loss of her mother looks upon another there lies an immediate recognition of what it means to walk that path through life. The knowing is unspoken.

But we’d like to speak it now.

Sharing our experience validates and heals it and it also helps younger girls understand they’re not alone, whether they lost mothering through death or in other ways.

Would you like to be interviewed briefly for a video or podcast or for written content? Or would you like to email us with a few lines about your experience yourself? Would you like to send us a photo or write something to honour your mum? Or was your experience more complicated? Do you have any advice you’d like to share?

We’d love to publish your experience, anonymously or otherwise. If you’re interested or have any questions please get in touch below.
